Experiencing Spiritual Warfare? Read This!

Although a person confronted with actual spiritual warfare might disagree, they are truly blessed. Experiencing religious warfare is a sign that you are on the right path, for the devil wants to steer you away from it. Yes, he considers you a threat and is willing to spend time trying to realign you with his ways.

Have you noticed that the more you seek God, the more issues you encounter and problems seem to arise out of nowhere? Often, you are confronted with sudden and unexpected challenges. The evil one is irritated; he does not want you to seek God, but rather follow the pleasures of the flesh. His greatest victory would be you losing faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Pray, brother. Pray, sister. But whatever you do, don't give in. You are blessed to experience this warfare. Dare to say: "Thank you, Lord, for I experience spiritual warfare." Remember the story of Job? Indeed, don't give in. With the Creator of heaven and earth in your corner - He who is, was, and always will be - how can Satan stand a chance? He cannot! Ask your fellow Christians to stand with you, surround yourself with other believers, and battle. Victory is yours. Even if the road is long and winding, there will be a finish line. We sing, "Oh victory in Jesus."

Even Jesus was tempted by Satan, but He quoted the Bible, and eventually, Satan left. You too can overcome the deliberate and often exhausting invitations to the "dark" side. Yes, I just made a "gest" (a gesture) towards Star Wars. We should not close our eyes to the reality of evil, nor should we deny its existence. We are present in this time by God's design, and we know that everything is under control and unfolding as carefully planned by God. God found iniquity in Lucifer and had to disprove his claim of greatness. Jesus crushed the serpent’s head, and by doing so, we know Lucifer, also known as Satan, was defeated.

However, the only way to overcome the obstacles placed before us by the evil one is to focus on the words of Jesus, trust our Bible, and never cease to pray. I would like to quote the famous verse Romans 12:12, which states: "Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer."

You may wonder why the fight is so intense and difficult. The answer can be found in the Bible, specifically in Ephesians 6:12: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Even the angel Michael was cautious when dealing with Lucifer, the fallen one. For Satan is powerful, but I have some good news for you: You have the authority to claim victory in the name of our Messiah and push back the powers of darkness.

And to bring this article to a close, there is one small but important piece of advice on how to make the battle easier. In 2 Corinthians 6:14, we receive a truth that is fundamental to our faith: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

Why is this so important to mention? It's very simple: This passage highlights the differences between righteousness and unrighteousness, and the importance of aligning oneself with those who share the same faith and values. By doing so, you avoid situations where the devil can tempt you. You will not be derailed, for you have the Holy Armor of God and will stand up against evil. Yes, indeed, you are allowed to declare victory in the name of Jesus Christ.
