Is the Woke Agenda All Bad?
It certainly is not. There are various aspects of the woke agenda that can be seen as positive, contributing to the prosperity of many individuals. However, the most commonly cited actions under the banner of "woke" often involve fairness and justice within our society, and this is exactly where things can go awry.
When considering the woke agenda, especially from a Christian perspective, it is crucial to focus on honesty, integrity, and justice. Integrity and justice, in particular, should be at the forefront of our evaluation. Is that not what we as Christians stand for?
In the Bible, lawlessness and righteousness are often portrayed as opposites. Lawlessness refers to actions or attitudes that disregard God's commands, while righteousness aligns with God's will and moral law. God has made it abundantly clear that justice shall prevail, and those of us who are true believers understand that it is ultimately about distinguishing between good and evil, right and wrong, truth and falsehood.
In Deuteronomy 16:20, it states: “Follow justice and justice alone.” This emphasis on justice is reiterated in Isaiah 56:1: “Maintain justice and do what is right.” These verses highlight the timeless importance of justice, which is often at odds with what some describe as the current 'woke' agenda, where many victims are denied justice in favor of political or other agendas.
An important truth is that modern Western societies were built upon the principle of justice. When justice is denied, a victim is doubly wronged: once by the criminal and once by the government. This double victimization underscores the need for a justice system that serves the needs of all individuals fairly and without bias.
The Bible contains numerous examples emphasizing the importance of fair conduct and justice. These principles should guide the life of anyone who claims to know God, serving as a moral compass in all decisions and actions. Moreover, justice is not only a Christian value – many other religions also uphold justice as a central tenet of their teachings.
Contrary to biblical instructions, justice is often denied in many situations by those who follow the woke agenda. Regardless of the criminal's personal circumstances, the victim is entitled to justice. There have been numerous instances where the victim is overlooked, and the criminal is rewarded with additional support, whether financial or otherwise.
The woke revolution is jeopardizing our children’s future, as they are confronted with biased opinions on what justice is, while the basics of true justice are violated daily by the judicial system, governments, and educational institutions. This is where we, as Christians, must say “No.” This is where we should declare, “Christians against the woke agenda.”
Generally accepted moral values, both in general and specifically Christian values, are under siege by extreme leftist movements supported by leftist governments and radicals. It is fair to say that our freedom and prosperity are threatened. While it is important to consider the various minorities that exist, this should not cause issues for the majority of hardworking, law-abiding members of society. They have a right to justice.
