For centuries, skeptics have attempted to discredit the Christian faith by presenting opinions as fact, only to find themselves repeatedly proven wrong. Historians have had to rewrite textbooks, and yet, through it all, the Bible remains unchanged - steadfast and unshaken. What’s more, time and again, new archaeological discoveries confirm the accuracy of Scripture, revealing truths long dismissed by secular scholars.

One striking example is the case of Pontius Pilate. For years, many historians argued that he never existed, claiming that the biblical account of Jesus standing trial before Pilate was mere fiction. They saw his absence from historical records as proof that the Gospel narratives were unreliable. Their claims spread quickly, eagerly adopted by those looking for reasons to doubt Christianity.

However, in 1961, their confidence was shattered. A team of archaeologists excavating Caesarea Maritima uncovered an ancient limestone inscription bearing the name Pontius Pilate, Prefect of Judea. This discovery, now known as the Pilate Stone, confirmed that Pilate was not a myth but a real historical figure, exactly as the Bible described.

This is just one of many instances where modern discoveries force scholars to revise their previous assertions. Over the years, numerous skeptics - some even considered leading intellectuals - have had to reconsider their stance in light of undeniable evidence aligning with Scripture.

Let this serve as a reminder: where human knowledge falters, God’s truth endures. Science has its limits, but our Heavenly Father remains the ultimate source of wisdom. Rather than rejecting Christianity based on outdated assumptions or biased opinions, may more people come to see the Bible as what it truly is - the unfailing Word of God.
